For education startups and learning ventures

From a product learners love
to one schools can buy.

Schools, districts, and funders want to see evidence that it works, a pilot they can trust, clear answers on privacy and accessibility, and a plan for teachers to use it. StrideForward helps small education teams build those pieces and the partnerships behind them, and sets up AI workflows so a lean team can keep up.

For founders of small education companies, education nonprofits, and program teams bringing something new to schools, families, or funders.

What education buyers ask for

Six things schools and funders
want to see before they say yes.

Small education teams often have a strong product and a short runway. These are the pieces that tend to slow a yes, and what we build with you for each one.

EVIDENCE

A clear case for why it works.

A research brief that connects your product to learning science, and a logic model that meets the “demonstrates a rationale” level, the entry level of the four evidence tiers under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

The work can includeA research brief, a logic model, the outcomes worth measuring, and a plan for stronger evidence later.

PILOTS

A pilot that produces results a school can use.

Who takes part, for how long, what to measure, and how results come back to the school, planned before the first class starts so the pilot ends with a story you can share.

The work can includePilot design, site selection, data collection plans, and a results summary for buyers and funders.

THE BUYER MAP

Know who uses, who decides, and who pays.

Teachers and students use it, principals and curriculum leaders recommend it, districts or families pay for it, and funders may cover the first year. Each group needs a different message and a different first step.

The work can includeBuyer, user, and funder mapping, positioning for each, and a pricing and packaging check.

BUYER-READY MATERIALS

Answers ready before they ask.

District reviewers tend to ask the same questions. We gather the evidence summary, pilot results, pricing, implementation plan, and your privacy and accessibility documents into one packet a reviewer can follow.

The work can includeA buyer packet, a proposal template, a scoping-call-to-proposal path, and an implementation one-pager.

TEACHER ADOPTION

Teachers still using it in month three.

Renewals depend on classroom use. We design the onboarding, short professional learning, and coaching follow-through that help teachers fit your product into a real week.

The work can includeOnboarding sessions, teacher guides, a coaching cycle, and a simple way to see use and results.

PARTNERSHIPS AND SALES

Partners with a reason to say yes.

Education nonprofits, networks, and funders can open doors a small team cannot open alone. We map the ones that fit, shape the offer, and help run the outreach, as a project or a fractional partner.

The work can includePartner and prospect research, partnership offers, outreach and proposals, and a weekly pipeline review.

A lean team can keep all of this moving with help: human-centered AI workflows for outreach, follow-up, reporting, and a shared team hub.

Work like yours

Three snapshots
of the work.

Situation, what we built, what changed. Organizations are described rather than named unless they have said yes to being named.

An early-learning media startup

Building the evidence base and partnership plan for a new product.

Situation
A founder with a product for four- to six-year-olds and strong instincts, but no structured evidence or partnership approach to bring to schools and families.
What we built
A research brief connecting the product to learning science, a pilot plan across parents, homeschool, and classroom settings, and a partnership development approach.
What changed
Product decisions now have a Now, Next, Later logic tied to evidence, and partner conversations start from a clear story.

HIKI Education · Hawaiʻi

Positioning place-based professional learning for schools.

Situation
Strong, culturally grounded programs and a fishpond site, but no clear way for principals and district leaders to understand or contract the professional learning.
What we built
A school-buyer strategy, a soft-launch website, professional-learning packages, a scoping-call-to-proposal path, an operating playbook, and pitch materials for funders and partners.
What changed
School leaders can now see what is offered, who it is for, and how to begin. The team has a playbook to run it.

A college of education at a large public university

Making a workforce portfolio legible to outside buyers.

Situation
Learning, credentials, consulting, research, and events had grown up separately. Districts, employers, and partners could not see how the pieces fit or where to start.
What we built
A connected offering and capability strategy: audience-specific offers, pathways between them, and the market intelligence and financial logic behind each.
What changed
One portfolio that external partners could read, with clear entry points and a shared language across teams.

Common questions

Questions education
founders ask.

Short answers about evidence, sales, adoption, and timing. If yours is not here, ask on the call.

Can you help us meet ESSA evidence requirements?

We can build the foundation: a research brief that connects your product to learning science and a logic model at the “demonstrates a rationale” level, plus a pilot plan that collects useful data. Higher evidence levels need formal studies, usually with an outside research partner, and we can help you plan for that step.

Do you help with school and district sales?

Yes. Gina directed and scaled a professional learning business that built partnerships and sales with school systems and national education organizations. We help with the buyer map, the offer, outreach and proposals, and, as a fractional partner, the pipeline week to week.

How do you help teachers adopt a new product?

We design onboarding and short professional learning around how teachers plan a real week, then add coaching follow-through and a simple way to see classroom use. Professional learning and coaching are at the center of Gina’s background.

We are early and pre-revenue. Is it too soon?

Often it is a good time, because the evidence, the pilot, and the buyer map shape everything after. We keep the first scope small, such as a research brief or a pilot plan, and the scope note sets the fee before you commit.
